Description: NaFF is attended by nearly 30,000 filmmakers, actors, and film fans who attend more than 250 films from 50 countries, in addition to red carpets, parties, and workshops. A Nashville institution, it celebrates the diversity of the human voice and vision with special programming for Latino, Black, LGBT, families, and Jewish film fans. Founded in 1969 by Mary Jane Coleman, it is one of the oldest and largest film festivals in the U.S.
Objective: Get the get recognition, cash and connections you deserve. With over $60,000 in cash and prizes and potential exposure to celebrated industry executives and studios, the Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition is an incredible opportunity for talented writers to get their scripts discovered.

NaFF names winners and runners-up in short and feature-length script categories, as well as 60 minute and 30 minute teleplay categories. In all, the contest awards in 16 categories, including a special category for Tennessee and young screenwriters. Winners and Runners-Up are awarded at NaFF, April 14-23, 2016. All finalists win two Gold All Festival Laminates valued at $798 and semi-finalists win one Silver All Festival Laminate, valued at $250.
